Good Quotes:

  • “We're seeing the country kind of devolve into partisanship pretty heavily, and I think a lot of that is because we focused on the wrong thing for too long. Good Quotes:

  • “First thing I did, which one of the lessons I've learned in life is… hire people to do things you don't know how to do, and then learn from them.” - [8:29]
  • “If you've raised money from all max out donors, well, you might not be the most viable candidate if someone has raised the same amount of money from small dollar donors, because they can easily outpace you. So that's why a campaign finance reform is so important.” - [10:18]

Good Quotes

  • “Anyone listening to this who might have a fear of whether it's being interviewed on a podcast or public speaking or anything that's a little bit outside of what you've ever done before, don't let your perception of how you're going to come across stop you, even if it's an Instagram live. I know so many people have anxiety about that. You might be amazed at how other people receive it.  And I think in the end, I'm really glad that I did it because, in reality, the podcast was never about me. It was never about doing something for myself. The whole point was to get information out there to other people who could potentially use it.” - [04:13]
  • “I think we need to find ways to encourage, build up, highlight the positives, and kind of create opportunities for people to see that there are other ways to behave rather than just saying, ‘See,  I knew you were like that because you're a guy.’” - [28:30]
